IC INFO. CHARACTER: catra SERIES: she-ra (netflix reboot) AGE: 18 (s1) - 21 (s5) NOTABLE FEATURES: cat ears, tail, claws. heterochromia. she's furry all over, not just in patches! (VERY) BRIEF PERSONALITY: an asshole who reacts to her own trauma by lashing out at the whole world. inferiority complex like you've never seen before. definitely hates adora. IC PERMISSIONS. PHYSICAL AFFECTION: oocly fine; icly she may react poorly (and possibly violently) to unexpected physical contact, especially from anyone other than adora or scorpia. it isn't that she doesn't like affection, she just has no idea how to deal with it. she sure has no problem getting up in other people's space on her own terms, though. PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: please. catra is a rude aggressive jerk who plays dirty and will do anything to win, which frankly makes it harder for her to not start fights with most people. she's a step above normal humans due to her horde training and ~catlike reflexes~, but she doesn't have any magic powers or excessive strength. she's just very, very fast and underhanded. TELEPATHY: again, oocly fine, and she has no real protection outside of her mind being a fucked up place to trawl through. icly, she will react with hostility to any kind of mental intrusion. thanks, shadow weaver. s5 catra will react even worse, given [spoilers]. ROMANCE: good luck catradora is the obvious one; i'm cool with playing them as having had a Thing back in the horde on memes. slowburn scorptra is a+ too, especially some sort of 'stayed in the crimson wastes' au, as is hateshipping with glimmer and severely unhealthy coping with double trouble. f/f only for crosscanon, but be warned that she's hung up as hell on adora regardless. (also she's a terrible catperson, please do better.) OTHER NOTES: as well as being a child soldier, catra has suffered severe psychological abuse from her mother figure all her life. she's shown to have been frequently belittled, restrained, and was likely physically abused as well. as a result of this, she's grown into a toxic, manipulative (and abusive, depending on canonpoint) person herself, who tries to push people away to validate her own self destructive habits. as of s5 catra is trying Very Hard to improve herself as a person, but also has residual trauma from brainwashing to add into the above mix, and probably just a general fear of having the back of her neck touched (even if she's better about touching in general). these can be upsetting topics, and i completely understand if people want to opt-out of them coming up in threads, whether icly or in ooc brackets, or would rather not interact with catra at all. comments are screened. (this goes for spoilers as well! i'll generally take her from some vague post-s1 point if no timeline is specified, but can play her anywhere from pre to postseries. please let me know if you'd rather stay spoiler free!)
